F4WOnline.com reports that veteran TNA performer Booker T was at the center of a “blowup” at the iMPACT! tapings Tuesday night.
According to the story, Booker T generated controversy when he refused to put over Matt Morgan in a scheduled match. The issue, which made sparks fly backstage, resulted in a late rewrite to plans for the show.
Sources say Booker T’s frustration can at least partially be rooted in the fact that negotiations to extend his TNA contract have not been going well. Booker has reportedly already been telling people that he will be returning to WWE when his contract expires.
As Booker is not currently being viewed as a “team player,” the feeling is that a departure would not be treated as heartbreaking by the lockerroom. While Christian, for instance, made it clear with his attitude that he was planning to go back to WWE when his final TNA deal expired, the feeling was that he handled his impending exit with more professionalism.
Booker and Scott Steiner are expected to lose their tag championships at Bound for Glory.
