Bret Hart Open To WWE Return

In news that will put smiles on the faces of wrestling fans across the globe, Bret Hart is reportedly open to making a WWE return.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Hart and WWE have recently been in talks about doing business, and while nothing definitive has been reached, Hart “has been open to the idea of returning as a weekly storyline character for the first time since 1997.”

According to the story, talks began heating up around the time Vickie Guerrero gave her notice to WWE management.

WWE had been hopeful of a Hart return appearance at various points in recent years, but when push came to shove, it never came to fruition. Now, though Hart will not be wrestling, it appears there might finally be a possibility of “The Hitman” working WWE television.

Sources add that improving talks with Hart played a role in running the “Montreal Screwjob” storyline at Breaking Point.
