— According to PWInsider.com, there has been active talk in recent weeks of pairing CM Punk with a bodyguard character.
Creative initially discussed putting Ezekiel Jackson in the role, as he had previous WWE success in the “muscle” role. That idea nonetheless does not appear to be the plan, as the consensus backstage is that while he would indeed be a good fit as CM Punk’s bodyguard, he would be better served by the opportunity to develop on the ECW brand.
Festus has also recently come up in discussion.
