Ratings Bump For “Jay Leno Show,” “Beautiful Life” Bombs

Thanks to a strong lead-in from the “America’s Got Talent” finale, “The Jay Leno Show” saw its ratings improve for episode three.

After dipping to about 11 million viewers for the second airing, “Leno” was good for 13.4 million Wednesday night. The show also improved its 18-49 category performance, posting a solid 3.5/10 in the demographic.

“Talent” scored a similar 18-49 demographic rating but aired for a total of 15.8 million viewers.

The performance of “The Jay Leno Show” indicates what many expected–that while it might have a ballpark performance range once it settles into the schedule, its actual viewership will vary based on competition, lead-in and the starpower of the show’s guests.

— Elsewhere, “Glee,” up against the strong “Talent” finale, managed a 3.2/9 in adults 18-49 for FOX. The series’ third episode garnered 6.7 million total viewers, down from last week’s 7.5 million.

“The Beautiful Life,” on the other hand, was an absolute bomb for The CW. It posted a mere .6/2 in the 18-49 demographic before only 1.4 million total viewers.
