Jay-Z “Run(s) This Town,” Tops Raekwon, Boys Like Girls, Beatles (Album Sales)

Fueled by hit single “Run This Town,” famed rapper Jay-Z’s “The Blueprint 3” will dominate next week’s album sales charts.

Specific data is tricky, as while some retailers have released the album in accordance with the new September 8 date, others (including iTunes) are still promoting the September 11 release. Nonetheless, Hits Daily Double has the album tracking for at least 300-350,000 units sold by next week’s chart release.

Among new releases, fellow rapper Raekwon’s “Only Built 4 Cuban Linx Pt. 2” will distantly follow in the 55-60,000 range. Led by the title single, Boys Like Girls’ “Love Drunk” will slide behind in the 45-50,000 range.

Elsewhere, Brooks & Dunn should fall just short of 40,000 with “#1s and then some” while Saosin’s “In Search of Solid Ground” will land in the low 20,000s. Thousand Foot Krutch’s “Welcome to the Masquerade” will debut with 15-20,000.

Specific data on the remastered The Beatles releases was not available, nor was tracking on A Fine Frenzy’s “Bomb in a Birdcage.” In the case of the latter, expect a debut below the 15,000 range.
