WWE Addressing Backstage Problems For New Talent

Following up on reports from earlier in the week, WWE has unveiled its new “talent life skills” initiative. Designed to help rising WWE stars manage the out-of-the-ring challenges that have historically plagued wrestlers (and celebrities in all fields), the program provides workshops on valuables for assuring a fruitful experience as a professional wrestler.

The WWE Corporate site breaks the program down into four programs: Personal Life Development (run by Dr. Earl Suttle, the program “provides practical skills and solutions to manage out-of-the-ring issues that can adversely effect their careers, particularly during initial adjustment into WWE”), Personal Finance Education (run by Fidelity Investment representatives, the annual workshop “offers talent an overview on how to save for the long term, balance their portfolios and manage other financial responsibilities”), Health Insurance Education (an annual “workshop for our talent that explains the value of obtaining proper health insurance, detailing the unexpected occurrences and costs of healthcare that may arise”) and Media Training (run by Kathleen Hessert, the program is designed to “teach [our talent] how to best present themselves and the WWE brand to the media and our audience”).

  1. I think its great they are trying to help the wrestlers but I personally wouldn’t listen to people telling me how to live life as a celebrity when they are not and have never been in that position. They need to have people (ex wrestlers maybe) teach the course- they’ve been there and understand what their going through.
