Taylor Swift, Cobra Starship Can’t Top Black Eyed Peas (Hot 100 Report)

Though Taylor Swift and Cobra Starship achieved personal milestones on this week’s Billboard Hot 100, neither was able to remove the Black Eyed Peas’ “I Gotta Feeling” from the top slot.

“I Gotta Feeling,” the second single from the group’s “The END” album, remains the top song in America for another week. Taylor Swift’s “You Belong With Me,” her biggest mainstream single to date, inched into second place, while Drake’s “Best I Ever Had” was good for third.

Keri Hilson’s “Knock You Down (featuring Kanye West and Ne-Yo),” Kings of Leon’s “Use Somebody” and Jay Sean’s “Down (featuring Lil Wayne)” held steady at fourth, fifth and sixth, respectively. A week ahead of the Billboard chart debut for new album “Hot Mess,” Cobra Starship’s breakout single “Good Girls Go Bad (featuring Leighton Meester)” gave the band a personal best at number seven.

The rejuvented “I’m Yours” by Jason Mraz, which bumped all the way back to 23 this week, is the longest running song on the chart at 69 weeks. Selena Gomez’s “Magic” had the week’s best debut at 61, while TI’s “Remember Me (featuring Mary J. Blige)” suffered the biggest chart decline, sliding from 29 to 94. Zac Brown Band’s “Toes” was the biggest gainer, advancing twenty seven places to 52.

Other Billboard singles charts: Linkin Park’s “New Divide” remains on top of Rock, Swift’s “You Belong With Me” rules Country and Maxwell’s “Pretty Wings” commands number one on Hip-Hop/R&B.
