Comedy Central Cancels “Reno 911!”

Long-running comedy “Reno 911!” has been officially canceled by Comedy Central.

Series star and creator Thomas Lennon broke the news of the show’s unfortunate end via his Twitter account Thursday afternoon.

“Reno 911! was cancelled at 1:30 pm today. Won’t be wearing the shorts again,” wrote Lennon.

The show, which debuted in 2003, aired on Comedy Central for six seasons. It also produced a feature film–“Reno 911!: Miami”–that grossed just over $20 million in 2007.
