TV News: “Office” Character To Be Recast? (Spoiler)

EW.com reports that “The Office” has issued a casting call for the role of Pam Beesly’s mother. Initially played by Shannon Cochran in the “Sexual Harassment” episode, Mrs. Beesly will be recast for a recurring arc on the NBC comedy’s upcoming sixth season.

“Attractive and in her 50s. A really nice lady who’s very close to her daughter. Down-to-earth with a great sense of humor. Could recur for three or four episodes,” read the casting call.

Entertainment Weekly reports that the casting is in conjunction with plans to air a Jim-Pam (John Krasinski and Jenna Fischer) wedding episode this fall. The couple got engaged–and presumably became pregnant with their first child–in the fifth season, so the long-anticipated wedding is the next step for the couple.
