What You Didn’t See On WWE Night of Champs, Jeff Hardy News

— Given that WWE had initially expected Night of Champions to be Hardy’s final event before taking his hiatus, it had originally slated CM Punk to win. The decision to book Hardy as victor was made recently and certainly implies the wrestler will remain on board through Summerslam (although that has not yet been confirmed).

— According to numerous readers and a report at PWInsider, there was a technical problem with the WWE.com pay-per-view webcast that blocked out the first match. Webcast viewers complained that they missed the Unified Tag Championship bout and first entered the broadcast during CM Punk’s promo.

— Cryme Tyme defeated the Hart Dynasty in the pre-show dark match.

— Banners for the title belts were hung throughout the arena.
