Fan Charges After Chris Jericho At WWE Show

Reports from WWE’s house show event in South Carolina confirm that a fan charged after Chris Jericho prior to his match with Ricky Steamboat.

As Jericho was cutting a heel promo on the crowd, a fan rushed the ring, presumably to attack the wrestler. According to live reports, the fan made it farther than expected but got caught on the ropes trying to enter the ring and was, at that point, escorted by event staff.

PWInsider.com reports that while the fan was handcuffed backstage, he actually called out to some of the wrestlers in search of autographs.

Chris Jericho noted on his Twitter, “A fan hit the ring during my promo before my match in Greenville…things did not turn out well for him.”
