USA Network issued a press release Friday touting the strong performance of scripted series “Burn Notice” and “Royal Pains” Thursday night.

“Notice” delivered series-best ratings in total viewers and the 25-54 demographic, scoring 6.7 million and 3.1 million in the fields, respectively. Up 17% in the 18-49 demographic from last week’s showing, the show drew 2.6 million in television’s most coveted young adult demographic.

“Royal Pains,” which followed at 10PM, was close behind. The freshman dramedy reached 6.2 million total viewers with 2.9 million and 2.5 million in 25-54 and 18-49, respectively.

The two shows were one and two on cable Thursday night and were competitive with the top broadcast series in all key demographics.
