– As of press time, Jeff Hardy was to finish his current run in three weeks. WWE has been trying to get him to stay through Summerslam–and it might happen–but the company has begun booking August shows without him as a contingency.

– If WWE keeps the guest RAW host angle going through Summerslam, The Godfather is scheduled to host the show in his old gimmick on August 24. Such a plan reflects the WWE Creative Team’s new effort to slip some edgier content into the PG WWE atmosphere. The recent Swimsuit match on RAW is also indicative of the change, as WWE had not featured its Divas in such scant attire since implementing the PG initiative.
