– WWE officials have internally denied the notion that Shelton Benjamin was moved to ECW as a demotion or sign of deteriorating faith in his ability. WWE has long recognized his athletic ability, but it is waiting for him to show that he can make a true impact from a star quality perspective. The hope is that he will come across as a “big fish in a small pond” on the ECW roster and be ready for a committed push on one of the other brands.

– With reports that Tony Atlas’ contract recently expired, most within WWE are under the impression that he will not have a renewed future with the company.

– As has been talked about (and even teased prior to the ZZ Top announcement), many in WWE want Dusty Rhodes to appear as a guest host on RAW. Nothing has yet been scheduled, however.
