Latest on Submission Gimmick For Upcoming WWE PPV

As was implied via a customer survey held by WWE several months ago (and then confirmed in recent weeks), the upcoming WWE “Breaking Point,” which is replacing WWE Unforgiven as the company’s September pay-per-view, will adhere to a submissions theme.

According to early promotional material for the event, every match on the show will be a submission match. There had been some debate about whether WWE would only apply the theme to the top matches, but as of press time, the plan was for all bouts to require a tapout.

From the event’s venue, the Bell Centre in Montreal, “**A night where every match is a submission match…WWE Superstars will push each other beyond every threshold of pain..Who has the power, the resiliency, and the determination to survive WWE Breaking Point?**”
