TV News: Hilary Duff Joins “Gossip Girl”
“Gossip Girl” casting is heating up — EW.com announced this week that Hilary Duff will appear in a multi-episode arc on The CW’s buzzworthy teen soap.
According to the report, Duff has been tapped as Olivia Burke, a movie star who enrolls at NYU and ends up rooming with Vanessa (Jessica Szohr).
Duff reportedly makes her first appearance in the upcoming third season’s fourth episode.
Hilary Duff, who broke through as Lizzie McGuire, has been the subject of interest from television networks in recent months. She appeared in the NBC comedy pilot “Barely Legal,” which was not picked up by the network.
