Major News: Kimbo Coming to UFC

Kimbo Slice is coming to UFC, but there is a catch. After all, with UFC President Dana White having been a long-time, outspoken critic of the mixed martial artist, there was no chance of Slice receiving an instant debut on a UFC pay-per-view.

Instead, the former Elite Xtreme Combat fighter will participate in the upcoming tenth season of “The Ultimate Fighter.” Yahoo! Sports said that Slice has formally accepted White’s publicly-professed offer for a spot on the upcoming heavyweight edition of the show.

“It should be interesting, given some of the things I’ve said about him,” White said.

The tenth season, which debuts this fall, features coaches Rashad Evans and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson as the hype an upcoming grudge match. Slice, who drew very strong ratings for his EXC fights on CBS, is expected to rejuvenate interest in the long-running reality series. The fighter, who scored dominant victories in his first few fights, is coming off a devastating knockout defeat to Seth Petruzelli.
