THR reports that a former WWE name has been added to the list of new series regulars booked for season eight of “24.”
According to sources, Freddie Prinze, Jr., who is coming off a stint as a WWE creative team member, will join the show for its upcoming “Day 8.”
Prinze will appear as Davis Cole, an ex-Marine who runs field operations for the revived CTU branch in New York. The character aspires to follow in the footsteps of Jack Bauer.
Nazneen Contractor also joins the show as daughter to Anil Kapoor’s Middle Eastern leader character. Season eight launches in January 2010.
